In 1905, the Garlock family opened Charles Garlock and Sons, a sawmill selling lumber and hardware in Alexandria Bay, New York. Seven years later, in 1913, the family established Garlock Contracting as a division of the business, and set about building a legacy of excellence that we still take pride in today.

Garlock Contracting is now a fifth-generation family business that has been a staple in the Thousand Islands for more than a century. We continue to offer comprehensive construction and carpentry services, and our Alexandria Bay headquarters is also an Ace Hardware store, keeping up the tradition of providing quality lumber and hardware products.

No job is too big or too small for our dedicated year-round crew of 10-15 carpenters. Our team is equipped to handle everything from installing new doors to building custom 5,000-square-foot homes from the ground up.
